Welcome. Thank you for being here.

I received my ordination from the Center of Sacred Studies in Sonora, CA, as an Interfaith Minister, a Minister of a Walking Prayer. My walking prayer, however, began many years before that. My first miracle came at age seven when I lost my brand new First Holy Communion ring. After feverishly praying, I was directed to get out of bed in the middle of the night and walk to a huge field behind our house. I was surprised - and yet not - to discover my precious ring in the dirt. I was alone and yet never alone.

The Divine continued to show up in my life.

This beautiful combination of mystery and faith accompanied me to the Seychelles Islands, where I served in the Peace Corps around nutrition education, and later, in my career in counseling courageous individuals struggling to regain their health, voice and soul's purpose from the grips of eating disorders. As my understanding of the mind-body connection deepened, I was drawn to learn more about Spirit which had guided me all this while.

For years, I knew that I seemed to "know" more than was being said or seen.

This led me to study The Art of Healing with Helen Yamada and with the Center for Sacred Studies. Perhaps one of the most important aspects of my path has been my experience with the International Council of the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, a global alliance of female elders that teaches ancestral ways of prayer, education, and healing. Rita Blumenstein, one of the grandmothers, told a gathering once:

"We're late, but we're here."

I can say the same for me. It may be late, but I'm here. My walking prayer is to be present to the miracles. I look forward to meeting you.
